Permitted Development Articles (Index)

gpdo articles

The General Permitted Development Order 2015 (GPDO) is divided into ten Articles. Four of these Articles are then expanded further. These expanded areas are called Schedules. These are then in turn split into a number of Parts. Finally these Parts are divided into Classes within Schedule 2, which makes up the bulk of the GPDO.

Articles → Schedules → Parts → Classes

Hope that makes sense! The government likes to confuse with articles and other legislation, but we will try and keep individual pages as easy to read as possible.

Where we have additional pages and tables to assist you they are included below. Of course they are not part of the various GPDO Articles, Schedules or Classes – but are included to make life easier for you.

Any defunct classes or other sections will be removed from this list, although the original classes will still exist for historical purposes

You can use the URL of gpdo.co.uk to get to the GPDO section of this site with ease.

There are 209 sections to the GPDO of which all the legislation is fully documented on Planning Geek
