We are hiring! Planning Consultants required!

As you are probably aware Planning Geek offer planning services to householders, new build, commercial, developers large and small, agriculture, permitted development and much more!

In fact there isn’t much we do not get involved in – okay, we suck at making sunglasses, but we do give them away!

But we can’t offer these services without great consultants! Therefore we are hiring! Planning Consultants required.

We are looking to hire one or more planning consultants – we are also looking to take on architects, highways engineers, ecologists and other specialists (see below)

You might be experienced in England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland (or wherever we expand to next!).

So why not join us?!

We are hiring - planning consultants required

What are we looking for?

You will be experienced in planning (does help unfortunately) – you will need to have a good knowledge and experience of applications within the UK.

You will have the skills to do the following….

  • Demonstrate a good track record
  • You will be able to take an application from start to finish
  • Be able to write design and access statements
  • Understand and prepare planning policy appraisals
  • Prepare planning appeal documents
  • Complete reports
  • Attention to detail
  • Provide general administration of planning applications, interfacing with clients, internal teams, external consultants, and local authority planning departments
  • Liaise and work with other disciplines, ensuring all works are completed collaboratively
  • Be able to represent clients for planning objections (you should be able to sit on either side of the fence with the skills above)

Maybe you are leaving a role at the local authority and fancy being on the other side of the fence! Or perhaps you have worked for yourself for a while and are in need of regular income? Maybe you are working for another company and feel your assigned jobs are holding you back?

Whatever your current role, we would like you to join our team!

You can be located anywhere. This is not an office based role, so you must be comfortable working from home or a hot desk or even a beach café in Miami!

In return, you will be part of a great team. We currently have 5 planning consultants, but are looking to increase that number to at least 10.

We guarantee work to the right people.

You will be paid well. The potential to earn in excess of £50,000 per annum is there.

Whilst being a member of the RTPI or alternative helps, it is not a strict requirement with us – your knowledge and experience is far more important to us.

Most of our consultants are self-employed, but we can also offer a salaried position to the right person.

Get in touch and join our team!

Please email [email protected] with a copy of your CV along with details of your planning experience.

Please let us know if you tend to specialise in any particular type of planning applications.

Indicate the level of remuneration expected if possible.

Please let us know if you are happy to work nationally or just to a certain region.

Hiring other specialists!

Within our applications for clients of Planning Geek, we also need to work with many other specialists. Therefore whatever your skill, if you would like to work with Planning Geek, please get in touch. We wish to build a network of third parties that we can work with.

Please email [email protected] with details of your offering along with details of where you work. You might be national, or regional, it doesn’t matter.

We will be in touch following your email.

Expanding!

Whilst we are predominantly working within England currently, we are also hiring consultants to work in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and abroad.

We have plans to expand our service to Florida, USA – so whilst we are not expecting too many florida based consultants applying, you never know!
